Light Alarm App Reviews

People want an app that will simulate a sunrise without the need to keep your iPod on all night. This isnt it. Too bad the developers dont tell you the limitations before you buy the software.

Works a treat, easy to use and great value.

So, I have an iPad, and I wanted something that could easily wake me up in the morning. My friend talked about being woken up by light, and I wanted to try it, but those alarms costed about 100 dollars. So I settled for the cheaper version. I. Love. It. It works great. Only sad part that is keeping this app from getting that last star, is the fact one cant turn off the iPad display. Its wasteful for battery life and annoying at night to see such a bright light beside your face. PLEASE CHANGE THAT SO I CANS GIVE YOU THE 5 STARS IN WHICH YOU DESERVE!

The ENTIRE concept of a sunset alarm is light sensitivity so why the annoying battery draining gray light all night long???

Im not able to let you know until I can try it out.

I love it, ive always had a hard time with alarms cause theyre so loud and obnoxious they make me mad to wake up haha this was peaceful but still wakes me up.

I bought this app because the light clock I had broke. It sounded like a great replacement, but I have to agree with some of the other reviews. The backlight at night from the iPhone is way too bright. The whole point is to wake up when the light gets brighter, but when I set the alarm at night, it is so bright that I have to turn it away. Even then its so annoying that it acts more like a nightlight. I wish it worked better. I do like waking to chirping birds though.

The gradual increase in volume is great!!! I love waking up to this alarm. The night time clock is way too bright and the digital looking format seems harsh relative to the purpose of the app. But, I like the alarm enough to keep using the app .

I would like more of a sound board feature w the ability to mix sounds as I want. Id also like a better variety of sounds. but overall, this is the best gentle alarm Ive found so far.

The alarm is too bright at night. I read the reviews and figured they had changed that problem with the new version. They tell u to push the screen lock button. This does keep the screen dark, but then the alarm will not light up! I hope they fix this problem.

The ocean soundtrack loop has a very audible break between reruns, which really interferes with it being a gentle wake up. Also its in Mono - only one speaker activated. If you follow the directions to get rid of the illumination at night by pushing the button on top, the light doesnt come on in the morning. The audio buildup comes on too loudly and doesnt build very much at all. All in all, it feels like a lazy programming job, Built more to make money on a concept than to actually create a good app. The builder clearly ignores input and request for fixes, too, judging by the other ratings. My advice? Dont be a sucker like I was. Look elsewhere. Glad it was only $.99. It isnt worth that, but its not much to lose.

Sound quality is rough and the light doesnt get bright enough for me to even notice. Ended up with an alarm that doesnt even always wake me up
